Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the roof treatment last?

It depends much on the environment around the property. It can be between 2 years before a chemical treatment is needed or over 10 years. The cost of a treatment is a fraction of the price of the removal and treatment.

What chemical treatments do you offer?

We offer a fast-acting chemical treatment which kills the roots of the growth which are in the top of the surface of the tile instantly and gets rid of all the dirt and staining on a roof with the exception of white lychen. We also offer a slow acting treatment which is much better for the environment, it kills the roots within half an hour on average and over the course of 2 – 12 months washes the roof clean when it rains, restoring it to its true glory!

Can you effectively clean very fragile roofs?

Yes we can! Due to the equipment we use, we do not work with heavy equipment. We have cleaned roofs which are literally hundreds of years old to a 400-year-old cottage with exceptionally old tiles with no damage at all.

What roofs cant you clean?

We have not come across any roof that we cant clean safely and effectively.

Do you offer just treatments?

Yes we do! If there is no moss on the roof but it is starting to go green with the beginnings of moss then that’s the time to get it treated to stop the growth.

How will you leave my property?

We try our best to leave it clean and tidy, in the same state it was before the work is done. We are as tidy as possible during the job and do a final tidy on the last day. Our aim is to delight you as we have with the hundreds of our previous customers!

Do you carry insurance?

Yes we do, we have Public Liability insurance and Employers Liability insurance in place. Both of which haven’t been used.

How do I get you to come and survey and quote?

Fill in the contact form and either of the business owners Bruce or Joshua will make contact with you as soon as they can. Usually within 24 hours.

What are your staff like?

Just read the reviews, friendly, polite, professional, hardworking and honest are the stand out terms and we would absolutely agree with that! Our staff are also well trained in using compressed air, erecting and working off of lightweight tower scaffolds (PASMA certified) and well trained in the dosing and use of chemical products used in the industry.
